Using your pencil or another object, poke nine holes across the top of the paper towel roll. The holes should be wide enough for a straw to fit inside. 2. Trace the cup or another circular object on a piece of construction paper and a piece of cardboard. 3. Glue the two circles together. 4. Glue the toilet paper roll to the construction paper side of the two circles that were glued together in step 3. 5. Using the scissors, cut a small strip of paper that is a little longer than the open top of the toilet paper roll. 6. Glue the strip of paper across the open top of the toilet paper roll. 7. With the unpunched side of the paper towel roll facing down, glue it along the open top of the toilet paper roll so it is on the strip of paper. 8. Using the scissors, cut the four of the five straws in half. 9. Cut the fifth straw into two pieces. One piece should be longer than halfway and the other should be shorter than half way. You will not need the shorter piece. 10. Glue a small piece of yellow or orange construction paper to the top of each straw piece to make a candle. 11. Place each straw candle into a hole in the paper towel roll. The largest straw candle should be placed the middle. 12. Put glue around each straw candle once it is in the hole to keep it in place. Let dry. Feel free to decorate your menorah however you like. You may want to wrap the paper towel and toilet paper towel rolls in colorful paper before you start to make your menorah more decorative. Holiday stickers also work well for decorating. Children may need help making the menorah especially poking the holes in the paper towel roll. Please note that this menorah should NOT be used for real candles. Happy Holidays!
