Thanksgiving Crafts To Make

Thanksgiving crafts to make that are fun and easy are often hard to find. Here, we find crafts that are good for all ages. Whether you are looking for Thanksgiving crafts to make during your family get together or if you are looking for Thanksgiving crafts for preschoolers, we have great crafts that are simple and exciting. Have fun!

Brown Bag Turkey (ages 4+)

For this project you will need:

- One brown paper bag
- A black marker
- Construction paper (brown, orange, yellow, green, and blue)
- Stuffing or old newspaper
- A stapler or tape
- Glue
- Scissors

1. Open the brown paper bag and fillT Flit with the stuffing or crinkled newspaper.
2. Fold the top of the bag over and tape or carefully staple it closed. If a stapler is being used, be sure to have adult help or supervision.
3. Using the scissors cut out 4 feathers from the yellow, green, blue, and orange construction paper (one feather per color).
4. Glue or staple the feathers to the back where the bag is folded over.
5. Using the scissors cut out a head and a neck form the brown construction paper (a circle with a rectangle attached).
6. Cut out a triangle from the yellow construction paper and glue it on the head to make a beak.
7. Use the marker to make two eyes on the head above the beak.
8. Glue the head and the neck on the opposite side of the fold on the brown paper bag so it is in front of the feathers.
9. Cut out two long rectangles with rounded ends from the orange construction paper to make legs and feet.
10. Glue or tape the top of each leg to the bottom of the brown paper bag.
11. Trace both of your hands on brown construction paper.
12. Cut out the hands.
13. Tape the hands together so the lower palms are connected (the fingers on one hand are pointing away from the fingers on the other hand).
14. Glue the connected hands to the back of the brown paper bag to make wings.

If you are doing this craft with younger children, you may want to have an adult cut out all the parts of the turkey from construction paper and staple the bag closed ahead of time. Then, have the kids construct the craft.
